I’m Naimah —- a scholar, writer, and educator. I write from the intersections of Feminist Studies, Black Studies, and Performance Studies, My work is animated by amalgamations of loss and erotics in art, performance, and Black Feminist Theory.

As a professor @ RISD, I work closely with the Social Equity and Inclusion Division, as well as the Teaching and Learning Lab.

When I’m not practicing hot power yoga @ The Love Offensive, or walking with my pup @ Chase Farm, I’m building a Providence-based community called the Providence Grief Guild.

Born and raised in Northampton, MA, I feel lucky to have found home in the Hudson Valley, Minneapolis, and now, Providence.
